Terms and Conditions Governing the Issuance and the Use of the UnionBank Credit Card


  1. DEFINITION OF TERMS- As used herein, the following definitions will apply:
    1. "Bank", "You", and "Your" shall refer to UnionBank of the Philippines.
    2. "Card Account" means the Credit Card Account opened by the Bank for the purpose of entering all credits and debits and received or incurred by the Primary Cardholder and the Supplementary Cardholder, if any, under these Terms and Conditions.
    3. "Card" means, as appropriate, a Mastercard or Visa Card issued by UnionBank of the Philippines.
    4. "Cardholder" means an individual to whom a Card bearing that individual's name is issued by the Bank and includes the Primary Cardholder and any Supplementary Cardholder. ("I", "Me", "My" and "Myself" shall refer to the Cardholder)
    5. "Card Transaction" means the purchase of goods and/or service, benefits and reservation (including without limitation any reservation made by the Cardholder for air, ship, rail, motor or other transportation or hotel or other lodging or accommodation or other transportation, rental or hire, whether or not utilized by the Cardholder) and/or receiving Cash Advances by the use of the card number or in any other manner including without limitation, mail, telephone or facsimile orders or reservations authorized or made by the Cardholder, regardless of whether a sales slip or Cash Advance form or other voucher or form is signed by the Cardholder.
    6. "Cash Advance" means any amount obtained by use of the Card, the card number, or in any manner authorized by the Cardholder, from the Bank or any other financial institutions for debit to the Card Account.
    7. "Charges" means amount payable by the Cardholder arising from the use of the Card or the card numbers under these Terms and Conditions and includes without limitation all Card Transactions, fees, Interest Charges, Late Payment Charges, additional expenses, damages, legal costs and disbursements, which will be debited to the Card Account and form part of the Current Balance.
    8. "Credit Limit" means the maximum debit balance permitted by the Bank of the Card Account for the Primary Card and the Supplementary Card, if any, and notified to the Primary Cardholder from time to time.
    9. "Statement Balance" or "Total Outstanding Balance" means the total debit balance (inclusive of all Charges which shall be debited to the Card Account) outstanding on the Card Account payable to the Bank according to the Bank's records as of the Statement Date. This may not include unbilled charges such as but not limited to any installment billed as of the statement cut-off date.
    10. "Interest Charges" means amount payable by the Cardholder representing cost for borrowing from or availing of the credit card line.
    11. "Late Payment Charges" means amount payable by the Cardholder representing penalty for not paying card usages and charges on or before the Payment Due Date.
    12. "Merchant Affiliates" means any corporate entity, person or other establishments supplying goods and/or services who accepts the Card as a mode of payment or reservation by the Cardholder.
    13. "Minimum Amount Due" is either Php500 or 5% of the Total Outstanding Balance whichever is higher, in addition to installment amortization/s due for the month and any amount in excess of my credit limit and/or past due amount including system-generated interest and charges.
    14. "Month" means the calendar month.
    15. "Payment Due Date" means the date specified in the Statement of Account by which date, payment of the Current Balance or any part thereof or the Minimum Amount is due to be made to the Bank.
    16. "Posting Date" means the date by which a Card Transaction is posted onto the Card Account.
    17. "Primary Cardholder" means a person other than a Supplementary Cardholder who is issued a Primary Card and for whom the Card Account is first opened by the Bank.
    18. "Statement Date" means the date by which the Statement of Account is generated.
    19. "Statement of Account" means the Bank's monthly or periodic statement sent to the Cardholder showing particulars of the Current Balance payable to the Bank
    20. "Supplementary Cardholder" means the person who has been issued a Supplementary Card.
    21. "Transaction Date" means the date by which a Card Transaction is completed.
    22. Unless the context requires otherwise:
      1. Words denoting one gender shall include all other genders;
      2. Words denoting the singular shall include the plural and vice versa;
      3. Words importing persons shall include a sole proprietor, individual partnership firm, company, corporation or other natural or legal person whatsoever.
  2. THE CARD – The card remains Your sole property. It is not transferable. At Your sole discretion, You may suspend, terminate or cancel my Card privileges in the Philippines and abroad at any time for any reason with or without cause and without need for prior notice to me and You shall be held free and harmless from any loss suffered by me by any reason of the suspension, termination or cancellation. Continued use of my Card in case of termination or non-issuance of replacement Cards shall be deemed as fraudulent. If for any reason my right to use the Card is revoked, all my privileges shall be terminated and my entire obligation shall become due and demandable. You shall be held free and harmless from any liability due to any dispute that may arise from my refusal or failure to replace the card or whatever reason as advised by You. Advice to replace the card maybe in any medium, but not limited to the following: telephone, e-mail, writing and SMS.
  3. CARD DELIVERY – In choosing my residential address for my card delivery, I fully authorize You or Your official courier to release, in my absence, my approved card to any member of the household upon presentation of an identification card with picture and authorization letter. In choosing Office Address for my card delivery, I fully authorize You or Your official courier to release, in my absence, my approved card to my co-workers, secretaries or to our desk receptionist upon presentation of an identification card with picture or any form of identification such as Driver’s License, Passport and SSS ID. I shall be liable for any card availment/s or usages thereafter as a result of such delivery and hereby hold You free and harmless from any liability whatsoever for delivering my card as authorized herein.
  4. VALIDITY OF CARD – The card is accepted worldwide and shall remain valid until the last day of the Month indicated thereon unless earlier terminated, voluntarily cancelled or returned by me or I use my replacement card. The card shall be automatically replaced one month before the last day of the month indicated on the latest card. The replacement of the card shall be at your sole discretion. If my card is not replaced, the whole obligation becomes due and demandable.
  5. LOST AND STOLEN CARD – In the event that my Card is lost or stolen, I shall immediately report the loss to You by calling the 24-hour Customer Service Center at telephone number (632) 8418600 if I am in Metro Manila or at Domestic Toll Free number 1-800-1888-2277 outside Metro Manila or at Universal Toll Free number IAC+800-8277-2273 (USA, NETHERLANDS, SPAIN, SWITZERLAND, MALAYSIA, AUSTRALIA, SINGAPORE, JAPAN, KOREA-KOREATEL, KOREAL-ONSE, ISRAEL) outside the Philippines. The Lost Card Protection feature absolves me from any financial liability in case the Card is used for fraudulent purposes but only from the time the loss was reported to the Bank. You can charge me a Lost Card Replacement Fee of Php400.00 to cover the processing of the replacement card.
  6. STATEMENT OF ACCOUNT – You shall give me a monthly Statement of Account enumerating my outstanding obligations. In case I do not receive the said Statement, I shall immediately inform you thereof. The Bank shall charge me a Statement of Account Reprinting fee of Php300.00 per statement. In the event of any error appearing in my Statement of Account, I hereby agree to notify You of said error immediately and in writing. If no error is reported within twenty (20) calendar days from Statement Date, I agree and confirm that you can conclusively consider the Statement of Account as true and correct. The Statement of Account shall form an integral part of this Agreement. 
    If I choose to have my Statement of Account sent via e-mail to my duly designated e-mail address, I will hold myself responsible for its confidentiality. I will likewise hold the Bank free and harmless from any liability from any unauthorized access or viewing of my Statement of Account to my given e-mail address. For this purpose, the Bank's advice that they sent my Statement of Account via e-mail as shown in its e-mail confirmation registry shall be final and conclusive on me, and I agree not to dispute the receipt of my Statement of Account sent by the Bank via e-mail at my request.
    In the event that I intend to dispute a transaction/s in my Statement of Account, I hereby agree to notify the Bank immediately in writing within twenty (20) calendar days from my Statement Date. Should my dispute require the retrieval of original documents from the Bank, the Bank can charge me a Retrieval Fee of Php200 per transaction slip in the event that my dispute is invalid.
  7. CREDIT LIMIT – You shall have the sole discretion to determine the amount of my Credit Limit. I will be given a Credit Limit expressed in local currency (Philippine Peso), inclusive of Cash Advance limit, which will be my maximum allowable outstanding balance at any given time. My Credit Limit will be shared by all my Supplementary Cardholder/s. I hereby agree that the Bank reserves the right to approve or deny authorization if I exceed my approved Credit Limit. In addition, you will automatically charge me with an Overlimit Fee if you authorize my transaction or if overlimit is caused by system-generated interest and charges from my balances. The excesses may be brought about by a retail transaction, Cash Advance or accumulated interest/late charges billed on my Card Account. The amount exceeding my Credit Limit shall become due and demandable without prior notice and the credit privileges shall be suspended immediately without prior notice pending full settlement thereof.
    You may reduce my Credit Limit and Cash Advance limit and I will be duly notified of such reduction prior to its implementation. Should the outstanding balance exceed the reduced credit limit, the excess shall become immediately due and demandable without the need of further notice or advice.
  8. CUSTOMER SERVICING – I understood that by using the Bank's 24-hour phone facility in relation to my Card Account/s, the Bank may, at its sole option and discretion, tape or otherwise record all my telephone instructions. I likewise understand and agree that such taped or recorded instructions may be used by the Bank against me or any third party, for any purpose particularly, as evidence in any proceeding, judicial or administrative. Furthermore, I authorize the Bank to communicate with me through electronic means, included but not limited to Short Messages (SMS), at any permissible time under government rules and regulations for whatever purpose related to my Card Account. I allow the Bank to notify me electronically, included but not limited to Short Message Service (SMS), using the mobile number and/or electronic address shown in the Bank's record at any permissible time under government rules and regulations. Moreover, I shall hold Myself responsible for the electronic notifications the Bank sends me. As such, I hereby declare the Bank free and harmless from any liability if the information contained in the electronic notification is, by any means, accessed by any person other than myself.
  9. MERCHANT AFFILIATES – I will not hold You responsible if my Card is not honored by any Mastercard/Visa-affiliated merchant for any reason whatsoever. I will hold You free and harmless from any claim for damages as a result of the failure of any Mastercard/Visa-affiliated merchant to honor my Card. Furthermore, I will not hold You responsible for any defective product or service purchased through the Card. The existence of a claim or dispute with a Mastercard/Visa-affiliated merchant shall not relieve me of my obligation to pay any and all charges which I incurred through the use of my Card.
  10. LIMITATIONS – I hereby agree not to use my Card for the purchase of items/goods the importation of which into the Philippines of which is subject to the provisions of BSP Circular No. 1389 and all other circulars, laws, rules and regulations pertaining to importation. Likewise, I hereby agree that the proceeds of my Cash Advance availments abroad shall not be used for foreign investments or the payment of foreign loans in violation of BSP Circular No. 1353.
  11. SUPPLEMENTARY CARDS – If a Supplementary Card is issued upon my request, I shall be unconditionally liable (as primary obligor and not merely as surety) for all the charges made on the said Card including but not limited to interest and non-refundable fees and other charges which shall be promptly and fully paid by me. Should I request for the cancellation of my Supplementary Card, I agree and bind myself to pay and be liable for purchases made through Card even after the request for cancellation thereof and until such time that said Card shall have been surrendered by me to the Bank, thus preventing its effective use.
  12. ASSIGNMENT AND WAIVER – I hereby agree that the Bank may assign, discount or otherwise transfer part or all its rights and/or obligations under the Card without the need to notify or seek my consent.
  13. DISCLOSURE – You may at all times acquire, exchange and/or release information obtained from my Card Account to any third party and I hereby hold the Bank free and harmless from any liability that may arise from such disclosure. Likewise, in the event that my account becomes delinquent or past due, you shall inform me in writing such referral to a collection agency, or the transfer of my account/case from one collection agency to another, at least seven (7) days prior to the endorsement of my account/case. The notice shall include the full name of the collection agency and its contact details. Furthermore, I authorize the bank to investigate the information provided by me from whatever sources it may consider appropriate. I understand that falsifying any of the information is sufficient ground for legal action and the cancellation of my application.
  14. TRANSFER AND RETRIEVAL OF INFORMATION – I expressly authorize (i.) the Bank to transfer and disclose to any Credit Institutions such as financial institution, credit bureau, banking or credit industry associations, credit information service provider, credit and loan providers and their respective outsourced service providers; and (ii.) any such Credit Institutions to transfer and disclose to any fellow user, member, subscriber, whether a financial or non-financial institution, or to such Credit Institution's outsourced service provider any information (updates or corrections), whether positive or negative, relating to me/us or any of my/our accounts with the Bank (and for such purposes as specified in the BSP Circular No. 398) for the duration of and even after the closure or cancellation of the Accounts. I hereby consent to the transfer, disclosure and communication of any personal information provided by you to the Bank and Cebu Air, Inc. for the purpose of providing and operating the products and services related to the Co-Branding Card arrangement between the Bank and Cebu Air, Inc. to be made via email/SMS/fax or telephone, and for other related purposes which may include updating and enhancing the Bank's records, understanding your financial needs, conducting credit checks, reviewing credit worthiness, advising you of other products and services which may be of interest to you, and for risk analysis and risk management purposes. In addition to the foregoing, the Bank or Cebu Air, Inc. may disclose any personal information provided by you as may be required by applicable law, regulation, court, regu!ator or legal process, anti-money laundering monitoring, and reporting under the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA). I agree to hold the Bank and Cebu Air, Inc. free and harmless from any liability, claims or causes of action, if any, that may arise from or in any way related to any disclosure of personal information as contemplated in the foregoing.s
  15. CHANGE OF TELEPHONE NUMBER/S, ADDRESS AND OTHER CONTACT DETAILS – I shall immediately notify You of any change in my residence, office address number/s (both landlines and mobile number) and email address. Notices sent to my mailing address of record shall be binding even if I did not receive the same, should I fail to notify You of my new address. In case my chosen mailing address is not accessible through postal mail or delivery, You have the option to use my alternate addresses. Under Republic Act 8484, I am hereby required to notify the Bank of any change in the place of my employment, business, residence or contact numbers.
  16. CHANGE OF STATUS – I will notify You any change in my status and submit your required documents pertaining to my change in status.
  17. TERMINATION– I may at any time notify the Bank of my intention to cancel my Card Account and terminate the use of my Card and all Supplementary Cards, by giving a notice in writing via regular mail, postal mail, email, facsimile or via telephone. My account shall be cancelled only after full payments of all fees, charges and liabilities outstanding on the card amount incurred by the use of the Card but not yet reflected in the Statement of Account. I and/or my estate shall be responsible for settling off outstanding balances on the Card and shall keep the Bank indemnified for all costs (including legal fees and Charges) and expenses incurred in recovering such outstanding balances. On the other hand, You may at any time and without prior notice to me cancel and/or terminate my Card Account and/or its privileges at any time and all Supplementary Cards, for whatever reason including without limitation, default, non-payment, delinquency, misrepresentation, fraudulent use and other similar circumstances. Upon such recall, I shall immediately settle in full my outstanding liabilities to You. My Card Account shall be deemed closed only after full payment of my liabilities. You shall not be liable to refund to me the annual membership fee or any part thereof in the event of termination of my Card Account.
    1. RIGHT TO SET-OFF. Upon termination of my Card Account, You shall have the right at your sole option, and I fully authorize You, to apply at any time to the payment of any and all of my outstanding obligations under the Card Account, whether direct or contingent, whether now due or to become due, or whether previously, presently, or subsequently incurred, any fund belonging to me now or hereafter on deposit with You, notwithstanding that my said deposit/placement has matured or not.
  18. JOINING AND ANNUAL FEES – I shall pay You a joining fee and an annual membership fee, depending on the card type You issue to me, as may be fixed by You from time to time. An annual membership fee shall continue to be billed to me as long as my Card Account is active. All paid fees are non reimbursable even if the Card privileges have been cancelled or terminated.
  19. CASH ADVANCE – All Cash Advances which I make through the use of the Card, whether via over-the-counter or thru an automated teller machine (ATM), shall be subject to an interest rate of 3.5% per month (42% per annum) computed from transaction date until full settlement of the amount, and a service fee per availment of 6.0% of the transaction amount or Php300.00 whichever is higher. For ATM transactions, certain banks – local and overseas, charge an access fee for cash withdrawals. The amount of access fee may vary depending on the ATM network (local or overseas) and shall form part of the cash advance amount. This additional fee will be charged to my card account. For over-the-counter transactions, an additional transaction fee of Php500.00 shall be charged on top of the service fee. The Bank has the option to set a cash advance limit and a daily cash limit for all Cash Advances. ATM Cash Advances and corresponding interest/service charges and transaction fees shall be for my Card Account whether the Card may have been lost and used by another person unless the Card was reported lost. The Lost Card Protection will apply. The Bank reserves the right to issue cash advance PIN to qualified cardholders upon their request The Cardholder or supplementary members shall be provided with a confidential personal identification number (PIN) which must be kept confidential and shall not be disclosed to any person.
  20. PAYMENT OF CHARGES AND REVOCATION/SUSPENSION OF CARD PRIVILEGES – I agree to pay You all my card usages and charges on or before the Payment Due Date stated in the Statement of Account. If the Payment Due Date falls on a Saturday, Sunday or Holiday, the Payment Due automatically becomes the last working day prior to the scheduled Payment Due Date. I understand that if I pay in check, said check should be cleared on or before payment Due Date for me not to incur interest and late charges. I am aware that Regional clearing checks or Out-of-town checks are not acceptable mode of payment. If my check payment is returned by the Bank for whatever reason, I shall pay the Bank a fee of Php 1,000 per returned check. I shall have the option to pay: (i) a minimum amount of either (a) Php500.00 or 5% of my Total Outstanding Balance, whichever is higher, plus any amount in excess of my Credit Limit or past due amounts; (ii) a maximum amount equivalent to the full amount of my Total Oustanding Balance or (iii) an amount in between. I shall also pay the Bank a monthly installment amortization (if applicable) for the 'Light Installment Plan" (0% and Regular Installment) that I transacted with your merchants directly or through installment plans directly offered by the Bank to me. In addition to interest charges, I shall be liable to pay (a) a Late Payment Charge of 6% computed using the Minimum Amount Due or Php500.00, whichever is higher; (b) an Overlimit Fee of Php500.00; and (c) a Certification Fee of Php100 per Certification Letter. In case of payment default of any of the foregoing obligations, or in case of I pay You below the required minimum amount due, the Bank reserves the right to revoke or suspend my card privileges and to demand full settlement of my obligation.
  21. INTEREST CALCULATIONS – At every billing cycle, I have the option to pay the outstanding balance in full, the Minimum Amount Due or any amount in between. No interest charges will be imposed if I pay the billed amount in full on or before the Payment Due Date. However, if I do not pay my outstanding balance in full, I am considered to have borrowed from or availed of my credit line and I will be billed an interest charge of 3.5% per month (42% per annum). In this case, the interest charge shall cover the Average Daily Balance (ADB) of individual transactions from previous statement computed from posting dates to the current statement cut-off date, plus interest on all transactions in the current billing cycle computed from posting dates to current statement cut-off date, less interest credit (based on 3.5% monthly rate) on payments computed from posting dates to statement cut-off date. I understand that in addition to the applicable service fee, any cash advance I shall avail will bear interest from the date of availment to the date of full settlement at a rate specified by You. Any interest charge incurred from 90 days and above the Payment Due Date will have a separate computation. I agree to pay the Bank interest on my obligation at a per annum rate determined and subject to change from time to time by the Bank and advised through my monthly Statement of Amount.
  22. OTHER FEES – I agree to pay such other fees relating but not limited to processing of cash payments, use or maintenance of the card, additional features or privileges that may be added to the Card, that may be imposed by the Bank as maybe required or warranted under the circumstances as determined by the Bank, upon notice to the Cardholder. I understand that the amount of said fees may be revised from time to time as the Bank may deem necessary. I agree to pay and/or shoulder the applicable Value Added Tax (VAT) or any other relevant tax as may be imposed, arising from or connected with the credit card transactions contemplated herein.
  23. LIABILITY OF THE CARDHOLDER – I assume full responsibility for all charges incurred through the use of my Card including but not limited to the interest, all non-refundable fees and the full annual membership fee, and other charges including installments, whether made in the Philippines or abroad. All charges made in currencies other than Philippine Pesos shall automatically be converted to the billing currency (Philippine Pesos) on posting date at the prevailing exchange rate selected by Mastercard or Visa International from the range of rates available in the wholesale currency markets for the applicable Processing Date, which rate may vary from the rate Mastercard or Visa International itself receives; or the government- mandated rate in effect for the applicable Processing Date plus a 2% spread representing processing of transactions in foreign currencies, which amount represents my payment to You for Your payment on my behalf of the foreign currency necessary to discharge the amount/s due to foreign Merchant Affiliate/s. The sales/charge slips which I sign each and every time a purchase is made through the use of the Card shall constitute and be considered and be construed by You as the written Application required by BSP Circular No. 1389 to enable me to purchase the foreign exchange necessary for all my non-trade Card Transactions using the Card. Also by signing the Sales/Installment Slip, I agree to be bound by the Terms and Conditions of the UnionBank Installment Plan which I confirm to have read and fully understood.
    Furthermore, in case I shall have more than one (1) credit card account with You, the default in one shall automatically be considered as a default in the other card account/s. I hereby give a general lien upon, and/or right of set-off, and/or right to hold and apply to the unpaid card obligation/s any and all deposit account/s or funds, or properties in your bank's possession or control, which I may have now or anytime hereinafter with your bank or any of its branches, subsidiaries or affiliates.

Interest Charge

3.5% Monthly Effective Interest Rate (EIR)* which is computed based on average daily balance. Payment of only the minimum amount due or any amount less than the total amount due for the billing/cycle period, would automatically result to interest and/or other charges.

Late Payment Charge

6% (computed based on minimum amount due) or P 500, whichever is higher.

Credit Life Insurance Premium
(U-Protect/U-Secure)

P 0.36 (U-Protect) or P 0.55 (U-Secure)will be charged for every P 100 Outstanding Balance.

Cash Advance Service Fee

6% of the transaction amount or P 300, whichever is higher. If done over the counter, an additional fee of P 500 per transaction shall be charged. Interest Charge of 3.5% per month will also be due on each cash advance from the date of the advance until date of repayment in full (including unbilled charges). Cash Advance fee is not considered in the derivation for Cash Advance EIR. Total Annual EIR for Cash Advance transaction is 42%++ for P 5,000 and above transactions via ATM

Overlimit Fee

P 500, automatically billed to the cardholder on cycle date, when total transactions and system generated interest/charges exceed the credit limit.

Card Replacement Fee

P 400 for every lost or damaged card

Sales Slip Retrieval Fee

P 200 for every transaction slip requested

Returned Check Fee

P 1,000 for every returned check

Dispute Fee

P 1000 for every invalid dispute case

Refund Fee

P 50 which covers the cost of processing of a refund request in Manager's Check as a result of cardholder's overpayment

Pre-Termination Fee

Applicable to all pre-terminated Installment Transactions; P 500 or 5% of remaining principal balance, whichever is higher.

Service Fee for Foreign Currency Transactions

All charges made in currencies other than Philippine Peso (PhP) shall automatically be converted to the (PhP) billing currency on posting date at the prevailing exchange rate selected by Visa International. This will be based on the range of rates available in the wholesale currency markets or the government-mandated rate if in effect. A fee will be added covering the cost of processing transactions in foreign currencies.

  1. AMENDMENT – You have the right to change, alter, revise, or modify this Agreement anytime and I will be notified of such changes. It is understood that I accept the changes, alterations, revisions or modifications if I continue to keep and use the Card notwithstanding the lapse of seven (7) days from my receipt of such notification.
  2. SEPARABILITY CLAUSE – In case any portion of this Agreement is declared invalid or unenforceable, the position not otherwise affected shall remain valid and binding.
  3. BINDING EFFECT – I hereby confirm that in addition to the foregoing Terms and Conditions, I unconditionally agree to be bound by all laws, rules, regulations, terms and conditions, and official issuances applicable on the matter, relating to my card and its features, benefits and programs, now existing or which may hereinafter be enacted, issued or enforced. All the Terms and Conditions herein stated have been read and understood by me as evidenced by my use of the card, my signature on the application form, Card and/or charge/sales slip.
  4. LIMITATION OF, AND EXCLUSIONS FROM, LIABILITY– In any action arising from this Agreement or any incident thereto which I or other party may file against You, Your liability shall not exceed One Thousand Pesos (Php 1,000.00) in Philippine currency or the actual damages proven whichever is lesser. The Bank shall be under no liability to me in respect of any loss or damage arising directly or indirectly from:
    1. Any loss or damage howsoever incurred or suffered by me by reason of Your refusal or the refusal of other financial institutions or third parties, to allow a Card Transaction or to accept the Card or the PIN or to provide Cash Advance up to the Credit Limit or at all;
    2. Refusal of any merchant Affiliate of member institution of Mastercard or VISA International to honor the Card;
    3. Any defect or deficiency in the goods or services supplied to me by any Merchant Affiliate or, where applicable, for any breach or non-performance by a Merchant Affiliate or a Card Transaction;
    4. Malfunction of any ATM or disruption of communication systems;
    5. Exercise by You of Your right to demand and procure the surrender of the Card prior to its expiry date, whether such demand and surrender are made and/or procured by You or by any other person or ATM.
    6. Exercise of Your right to terminate any Card or the Card Account pursuant to the Termination Clause hereof.
    7. Any injury to my credit character and reputation rising from the repossession of the card, any request or demand for the surrender of the Card, or the refusal of any person to honor or accept the Card;
    8. Any misstatement, misrepresentation, error or omission in my Statement of Account;
    9. Any dispute between myself and any Merchant Affiliate or financial institution or any other person. My liability to You shall not be adversely affected by any such dispute or by any counterclaim or right of set-off which I may have against such Merchant Affiliate or financial institution or other person.
    10. Any loss or damage that may be incurred or suffered by me due to the acts or omissions of service providers engaged by You.
  5. ATTORNEY'S FEES AND VENUE – If You need to refer my case to a collection agency or through an Attorney-at-Law, I shall be liable to pay the cost of collection and/or attorney’s fee equivalent to 25% of the unpaid balance and the cost of litigation and judicial cost as applicable. You shall inform me in writing of such referral to a collection agency, or the transfer of my account/case from one collection agency to another, at least seven (7) days prior to the actual endorsement of my account/case. The notice shall include the full name of the collection agency and its contact details. The law of the Republic of the Philippines shall govern this Agreement and the exclusive venue of all suits to enforce this Agreement shall be in the proper courts in Makati City, Philippines to the exclusion of any other venue.

I. Priority Check-In

  1. This is available in NAIA Terminal 3, Mactan-Cebu International Airport, Davao International Airport, Bacolod-Silay International Airport, Iloilo International Airport, and Kalibo International Airport.
  2. Platinum Cardholder may fall in line at the Priority Lane for Senior Citizens, PRM, and pregnant women. This is not an express pass.

  2. Platinum Cardholder must be a Cebu Pacific passenger and must have Prepaid Baggage of at least 15KG.
  3. Platinum Cardholder must present the Cebu Pacific GetGo Platinum Credit Card, bearing the same name as in his/her Cebu Pacific itinerary, upon check-in or bag drop.

  6. GetGo Points earned shall not expire for as long as the account remains current and active.
  7. GetGo Points are computed on the total qualified retail purchases.
  8. GetGo Points earned cannot be converted to cash and/or other Reward items.
  9. GetGo Points will be reversed for cancelled or disputed purchases.
  10. UnionBank reserves the right to forfeit the GetGo points if determined that the cardholder has abused or violated the provisions stated in this terms & conditions.
  11. UnionBank may at any time, amend the terms and conditions stated herein.

 

 

REDEMPTION

  1. All Points earned on the Principal Cardholder’s account will automatically be credited to the Cardholder’s GetGo account at the end of every cycle.
  2. As all points will be credited to Cardholder’s GetGo account, Points cannot be used to redeem any other Reward items.

GENERAL POLICIES

  1. A dispute on the number of GetGo Points reflected on the Cardholder's billing should be reported within 30 days upon receipt of the billing. Otherwise, the same is considered true and correct.
  2. Only Principal Cardholders can exercise the right of redemption for GetGo Points earned through supplementary card usage.
  3. UnionBank Credit Cards reserves the right, without need of any prior notice, to terminate the Rewards Program or de-list any reward item in the event that they become unavailable or change the expiration period for Privilege Points.
  4. UnionBank Credit Cards reserves the right to discontinue or terminate any existing arrangement with program / merchant partners for the redemption of points, without need of prior notice.

 

For purposes of this Cebu Pacific GetGo Account Terms, " Cebu Pacific GetGo Account" means a deposit account opened at UnionBank of the Philippines; and "we," "our," or "us" refer to the Bank. "You" and "your" refer to the owner of a Cebu Pacific GetGo Savings Account.

Cebu Pacific GetGo Savings Account

Ownership. A Cebu Pacific GetGo Savings Account is a single ownership account by an individual.
Your Responsibility. You are responsible for all obligations arising out of the ownership and maintenance of a Cebu Pacific GetGo Savings Account, including the amount of any check, draft or other instrument (each, an "Item") deposited to the account, any service charges to the account, our losses arising from the breach of any representation or warranty you make to us or under applicable law, and the costs we incur to enforce our rights or to collect any sum you owe us, including, to the extent permitted by law, our reasonable attorney's fees.

DEPOSITS TO ACCOUNT

Accepting Deposits. You authorize us to accept cash and Items for deposit to your Deposit Account if they are made payable to you or to your order. You also authorize us to deposit to your account wire transfers and other forms of credit (such as direct deposits or other automated clearinghouse entries) received for your benefit. Second endorsed checks, post dated and stale checks are not accepted for deposit.
Our Receipt of Deposits. In receiving deposits, except cash, we act only as your collecting agent and assume no responsibility beyond the exercise of ordinary care. All deposits are posted to your Cebu Pacific GetGo Savings Account in Philippine Pesos, subject to our receipt of final payment. If final payment is not received on any Item you deposited to your account or if any direct deposit, automated clearinghouse deposit or electronic fund transfer to your account is charged back to us for any reason, you agree to pay us the amount of the chargeback, and you authorize us to debit the Cebu Pacific GetGo Savings Account, without prior notice and at any time, for the amount of the returned Item or other deposit, our returned item fee, any interest paid on the deposit, and any other fee we pay or loss we incur. We may also use any other legal remedy to recover the amount you owe us. We are not responsible for any transactions until we actually receive and record them. We are not liable for the default or negligence of our duly selected correspondents, nor for losses in transit.
Same Day Availability. Funds from electronic payments such as direct deposits of payroll or electronic benefits and cash deposits you make to your Cebu Pacific GetGo Savings Account will be available on the day the Bank receives the payment.

WITHDRAWALS FROM ACCOUNTS

ATM-Debit PIN: You are required to keep the PIN (whether Bank-assigned or the replacement PIN of your choice) confidential at all times. Any transactions effected using your PIN shall be conclusively pressured to have been authorised by you.
Card Transactions: Any withdrawal made through an ATM by the use of your ATM-Debit Card shall have the same effect as if made by you personally, and will absolve the Bank from any liability to you, or to any other party.
ATM-DEBIT Cards: You will be given a Cebu Pacific GetGo Visa Debit card that is linked with your Cebu Pacific GetGo Savings Account.

Point of Sale Transactions: You may use your card to purchase goods and services from merchants that participate in the service network(s) and have agreed to accept your card as a means of payment. Purchases made with your card are referred to as point-of-sales (POS) transactions, and will be charged against your Cebu Pacific GetGo Savings Account.
Refusal on Withdrawals: We also may refuse to allow any withdrawals without liability to you if we have a concern that one or more transactions on your account may have been unauthorized or fraudulent, if there is a dispute concerning the Cebu Pacific GetGo Savings Account that makes us uncertain regarding the instructions that have been given, the Cebu Pacific GetGo Savings Account is garnished or attached, the Cebu Pacific GetGo Savings Account has been pledged as collateral for a debt, the availability of the funds on deposit cannot be verified, any required documentation has not been presented, or you have failed to repay an obligation to us on time.
Loss of Card: Tell us at once if you believe your Card has been lost or stolen or if you think your PIN is no longer secure or confidential.

ACCOUNT STATEMENTS

General. You will be able to review transactions on your Cebu Pacific GetGo Savings Account daily through the unionbankph.com Website. You should review your transaction history regularly to protect your rights, including your right to dispute transactions that you believe are unauthorized.
Your Responsibility To Examine Transactions. You must examine your transactions carefully and reconcile your account promptly. You must notify us of any irregularities within a reasonable time (not to exceed 60 calendar days) after transaction occurred. If you do not notify us within that time period, then you cannot recover any amount from us with respect to such Item. In addition, we will be relieved of any liability if you do not notify us in writing within fourteen (14) days after information about the first such irregularity was made available to you.

GENERAL PROVISIONS

Dormant Accounts. Your account will become dormant after a year of inactivity. After ten (10) years of continuous inactivity, the dormant account will be escheated in favor of the Philippine Government in accordance with the Unclaimed Balances Law, and we will have no further liability to you for such funds.
Account Closing. You agree to notify us of your intention to close your Cebu Pacific GetGo Savings Account, and we reserve the right to request that your notice be in writing that affirmatively acknowledges that closing the account could affect your receipt of Financial Services. After a Cebu Pacific GetGo Savings Account is closed, we have no obligation to accept deposits or pay any outstanding Items or other debits. You agree to hold us harmless for refusing to honor any Item, credits or other debit on a closed account.
Service Charges. You agree to pay the charges as shown on the Schedule of Rates and Fees. As these charges are incurred or, at our option, when we send you an e-mail notification that you should review your account information, we will deduct the charges directly from your Cebu Pacific GetGo Savings Account balance. We will not be liable for dishonor of your Items or other debits resulting from our deduction of any charges as authorized by your acceptance of these terms.
Interest Rates. Your Cebu Pacific GetGo Savings Account earns interest at such rate and compounding frequency as shown on the Schedule of Rates and Fees subject to applicable taxes.
Signature Cards. You will provide us with any signature cards and other documentation or information that we request in connection with your Cebu Pacific GetGo Savings Account. You will be required to update your signature every five (5) years or whenever deemed necessary by the Bank.
Data Sharing. You hereby consent to the transfer, disclosure and communication of any personal information provided by you to the Bank and Cebu Air, Inc. for the purpose of providing and operating the products and services related to the Co-Branding Card arrangement between the Bank and Cebu Air, Inc. to be made via email/SMS/fax or telephone, and for other related purposes which may include updating and enhancing the Bank’s records, understanding your financial needs, conducting credit checks, reviewing credit worthiness, advising you of other products and services which may be of interest to you, and for risk analysis and risk management purposes.
In addition to the foregoing, the Bank or Cebu Air, Inc. may disclose any personal information provided by you as may be required by applicable law, regulation, court, regulator or legal process, anti-money laundering monitoring, and reporting under the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA).
You agree to hold the Bank and Cebu Air, Inc free and harmless from any liability, claims or causes of action, if any, that may arise from or in any way related to any disclosure of personal information as contemplated in the foregoing.

 

Deposit Insurance.

1.     Deposits are insured by the Philippine Deposit Insurance Corporation (PDIC) up to a maximum amount of Five Hundred Thousand Pesos (P 500,000.00) per depositor.
2.     PDIC shall presume that the name/s appearing on the deposit instrument is/are the actual/beneficial owner/s of the deposit, except as provided herein.
3.     In case of transfers or break-up of deposits, PDIC shall recognize actual/beneficial ownership of transferees who are qualified relatives of the transferor. Qualified relatives are transferees within the third degree of consanguinity or affinity of the transferor.
4.     In case of (a) deposits in the name of, or transfers or break-up of deposits in favor of, entities, either singly or jointly with individuals, and (b) transfers or break-up of deposits in favor of non- qualified relatives, whenever such transfers/ break up will result in increased deposit insurance coverage, PDIC shall recognize beneficial ownership of the entity or transferee provided that the deposit account records show the following:
      i.     details or information establishing the right and capacity or the relationship of the entity with the individual/s, or
      ii.     details or information establishing the validity or effectivity of the deposit transfer, or
      iii.     copy of Board Resolution, order of competent government body/ agency, contract or similar document as required/provided by applicable laws.
            In the absence of any of the foregoing, PDIC shall deem the outstanding deposit as maintained for the benefit of the transferor although in the name of the transferee, subject to consolidation with the other deposits of the transferor.
5.     PDIC may require additional documents from the depositor to ascertain the details of the deposit transfer or the right and capacity of the transferee or his relationship to the transferor

By using your Cebu Pacific GetGo Visa Debit Card you unconditionally agree to be bound by the laws, rules, regulations, and official issuances applicable on the matter, now existing or which may hereinafter be enacted, issued or enforced. All the Terms and Conditions in the Cebu Pacific GetGo Visa Debit Card Agreement have been read and understood by you as evidenced by your signature on the application form, Cebu Pacific GetGo Visa Debit Card and/or charge/sales slip.
These terms and conditions comprise the agreement between UnionBank of the Philippines and the Cardholder in connection with the Cardholder's Cebu Pacific GetGo Visa Debit Card.

1.     Interpretation

      1.1     In these terms and conditions:
      1.1.1     "Account" means the bank account held or to be held with the UnionBank in the name of the Cardholder (whether solely or jointly with another person), the number of which is or shall be specified in the application form for the Card and communicated to the Cardholder as appropriate.
      1.1.2     "Account Currency" means the currency in which the Account is denominated.
      1.1.3     "Bank" means UnionBank of the Philippines.
      1.1.4     "Card" means a Cebu Pacific GetGo Visa Debit Card , including any renewal or replacement Card.
      1.1.5     "Cardholder" means the person having power alone to operate the Account in accordance with the bank mandate in respect thereof.
      1.1.6     "PIN" means the personal identification number issued to the Cardholder from time to time for use with the Card.
      1.1.7     "Transaction" means any cash withdrawal or payment made using the Card, or any refund arising in connection with the use of the Card in any authorized manner for debit or credit to the Account.
      1.1.8     "Visa" means Visa International.
      1.1.9     "Working Days" means Monday to Friday inclusive except Bank holidays.
      1.2     In these terms and conditions references to the singular include the plural and vice versa and references to one gender include references to the other gender. The headings used herein are for ease of reference only.

2.     Card facilities

      2.1     The Cardholder may use the Card to pay for goods or services at retailers or suppliers worldwide who accept the Card by signing a sales voucher, by entering the Card information on the Internet, by signing a mail order purchase form showing the number printed on the Card or by placing an order by telephone and quoting the number printed on the Card, and the Bank will debit to the Account the amount of any such Transaction authorized in such way.
      2.2     The Cardholder may use the Card in conjunction with the PIN to withdraw money from automated teller machines that accept the Card when they are operating. The amount of money so withdrawn by the Cardholder shall debited to the Account.
      2.3     The Cardholder may use the Card in conjunction with the PIN to pay for goods and services by using a card operated machine at retailers or suppliers worldwide who offer this facility. The Bank shall debit to the Account the amount of any Transaction authorized in this way.
      2.4     The Cardholder may use the Card at any bank that accepts the Card to withdraw money or make payment by signing a voucher, the amount of which shall be debited to the Account.
      2.5     In addition to the amount of all Transactions, certain charges will be debited to the Account as provided for herein.

3.     The Card

      3.1     The Card belongs to the Bank and the Bank or any authorized officer, servant, employee, associate or agent of the Bank may retain the Card, require the Cardholder to return the Card or suspend the use of the Card at any time in its absolute discretion and the Bank shall not be liable for any loss or damages suffered by the Cardholder as a result thereof.
      3.2     The Card will not become valid or operational until the Cardholder acknowledges receipt of the Card by signing on the appropriate Bank documents. The Card is only valid for the period shown on it and must not be used outside that period or if the Bank has required by notice in writing to the Cardholder that it be returned to the Bank. When the period of validity of a Card expires it must be destroyed immediately by the cardholder by cutting it in half through the magnetic strip.
      3.3     The Cardholder must take all reasonable precautions to prevent unauthorized use of the Card, including, not allowing anyone else to use the Card and telephoning the Bank, in accordance with paragraph 3.2 above, to immediately acknowledge receipt of the Card.
      3.4     If the Card is lost or stolen the Cardholder or any other person acting on behalf of the Cardholder shall immediately notify the Bank or the Visa Customer Assistance Service by telephoning the number(s) from time to time notified to the Cardholder and the Cardholder must, in addition, immediately notify relevant law enforcement agencies. The Cardholder must confirm the loss of the Card by notice in writing to the Bank within seven days of having notified the Bank by telephone.
      3.5     The Cardholder must co-operate with any officers, servants, employees, associates or agents of the Bank and/or law enforcement agencies in any efforts to recover the Card if it is lost or stolen. The Bank may disclose information about the Cardholder and the Account if the Bank thinks it will help avoid or recover any loss to the Cardholder or the Bank resulting from the loss, theft, misuse or unauthorized use of the Card.
      3.6     If the Card is found after the Bank has been given notice of its loss or theft the Cardholder must not use it again. The Card must be cut in half through the magnetic strip and returned to the Bank immediately.

4.     The PIN

      4.1     The Bank will issue a PIN to the Cardholder for each Cebu Pacific GetGo Debit Card issued.
      4.2     If the Bank issues a PIN, the Cardholder must take all reasonable precautions to avoid unauthorized use, including destroying the PIN mailer issued by the Bank promptly after receipt, never disclosing the PIN to someone else, never writing the PIN on the Card or any other item normally kept with the Card, never writing the PIN in a way that can be understood by someone else and immediately notifying the Bank if someone else knows or is suspected of knowing the PIN.

5.     Charges

      5.1     The Bank shall charge a fee to the Cardholder in respect of each cash withdrawal made using the Card for which a charge is levied by Visa, Megalink, and Bancnet in accordance with the Bank's schedule of fees from time to time in force.
      5.2     The Bank shall convert the amount of every Transaction made in a currency other than the Account Currency to the Account Currency. The Bank shall make the conversion based on the VISA Foreign Exchange rate at the time of the transaction. If the Account Currency is in Philippine Pesos and cardholder uses his Card outside the Philippines, the transaction shall be converted to its Philippine Peso equivalent based on the VISA Foreign Exchange rate at the time of the transaction. Similarly, if the Account Currency is US Dollars and the Cardholder uses his/her Card at a Philippine peso-denominated VISA Electron affiliated merchant, the transaction amount will he converted to its US dollar equivalent based on the prevailing VISA Foreign Exchange rate at the time of the transaction.
      5.3     The Cardholder shall be charged in respect of every withdrawal Transaction made in a currency other than the Account Currency in respect of the conversion of the amount of the transaction into the Account Currency, in accordance with the Bank's schedule of fees from time to time in force. The following transaction fees shall be imposed on all ATM transactions of the Cardholder outside the Philippines:
      5.3.1     US $3.00 for every ATM transaction approved;
      5.3.2     US $1.00 for every ATM balance inquiry;
      5.3.3     US $1.00 for every ATM transaction declined for reasons insufficient funds and/or exceeds the daily transaction frequency.
      5.4     The following Annual Membership fee scheme shall apply to the Card:
      5.4.1     An annual membership fee in the amount of Php 500.00 shall be imposed by the Bank.
      5.4.2     The Bank will debit to the Account the amount of annual membership when it is due.

6.     General

      6.1     The total amount of any Transactions carried out in any one day shall be limited to such amounts and by such other conditions as shall be notified by electronic means or in writing to the Cardholder by the Bank from time to time with effect from the date of such notice.
      6.2     The Bank will issue a Card only if the Cardholder has completed an application form and it has been accepted by the Bank, or if the Bank at its discretion is replacing or renewing a Card.
      6.3     The Cardholder is not authorized to enter into Transactions using the Card to a value in excess of the credit balance (if any) of the Account.
      6.4     If the Bank is asked to authorize a Transaction, the Bank may take into consideration any other Transactions which have been authorized but which have not been debited to the Account (and any other transactional activities upon the Account) and if the Bank determines that there are or will be insufficient available funds in the Account to pay the amount that would be due in respect of such Transaction, the Bank may in its own absolute discretion refuse to authorize such Transaction, in which event such Transaction will not be debited to the Account. The Bank shall not be liable for any loss or courses of action resulting from any such refusal to authorize any Transaction.
      6.5     The Cardholder may use the Card to obtain the services described in these terms and conditions and such other services as the Bank may provide from time to time. All such services will be subject to these terms and conditions.
      6.6     The Card shall in no event be used by any person other than the Cardholder.
      6.7     The Bank shall not be liable for any loss resulting from the refusal of any retailer, supplier, other bank or card operated machine to accept use of the Card in connection with any Transaction. No claims of the Cardholder against any retailer or supplier may be the subject of set-off, claim or counterclaim against the Bank.
      6.8     The Cardholder shall immediately notify the Bank if:-
      6.8.1     an entry appears on the Transaction History which is believed to be incorrect as soon as possible but in any event within twenty-five days of the date of such discovery;
      6.9     A Transaction cannot be cancelled by the Cardholder after it has been completed.
      6.10     If a retailer or supplier makes a refund by means of a Transaction the Bank will credit the Account when it receives the retailer or supplier's proper instructions and the funds in respect of such refund, provided that the Bank will not be responsible for any loss or damages resulting from any delay in receiving such instructions and funds.
      6.11     When the Card is used to effect a Transaction through Visa (whether with a retailer or supplier, a bank or from a card operated cash machine) in a currency other than the Account Currency, Visa will convert the amount of the Transaction into the Account Currency at the applicable exchange rate on the day upon which it receives notification of the Transaction.
      6.12     The Card shall not be used to guarantee payment of cheques drawn on the Account.
      6.13     The daily transaction limit refers to working days only. Transactions on non working days refer to the previous work days limit.
      6.14     The card shall not be used as payment for an illegal purchase.

7.     Termination

      7.1     The Bank may terminate the Agreement comprised in these terms and conditions by notifying the Cardholder in writing to that effect at any time. The Cardholder may terminate the Agreement comprised in these terms and conditions by notifying the Bank in writing, cutting the card in half through the magnetic strip and returning the Card to the Bank. Such termination shall be effective, subject to the provisions of the following paragraphs of this clause, upon receipt by the other party of such notice and the Card.
      7.2     The Agreement comprised in these terms and conditions, shall be deemed to remain in full force and effect if and in so far as any Transaction is completed but not debited to the Account prior to termination thereof.
      7.3     Termination of the Agreement comprised in these terms and conditions shall not prejudice any liability in respect of things done or omitted to be done prior to termination thereof.

8.     Miscellaneous

      8.1     The Bank shall not be liable to the Cardholder for any loss suffered as a result of the Bank being prevented from or delayed in providing any banking or other services to the Cardholder due to strikes, industrial action, failure of power supplies, systems or equipment or causes beyond the Bank's control.
      8.2     These terms and conditions and the banking practices and charges relating thereto may be changed by the Bank at any time by notice thereof to the Cardholder. Any such changes will be effective from the date of the notice or such later date as may be specified therein.
      8.3     If the Card is to be issued to a corporate entity the Bank reserves the right to vary and/or add to these terms and conditions as it may in its discretion consider appropriate.

 

This Financial Services terms govern your use of Financial Services available at our unionbankph.com Website.
Definitions: In this terms, "Account" means your Cebu Pacific GetGo Savings Account; "Password" means the password you use to access the Financial Services at the unionbankph.com Website and your Cebu Pacific GetGo Savings Account through a personal computer or other electronic terminal; and "Business Day" means Monday through Friday, except holidays.

FINANCIAL SERVICES
We offer the following types of Financial Services for your Cebu Pacific GetGo Savings Account via unionbankph.com Website.
1.     Account Inquiry
      You may view your Current Balance, Available Balance and Transaction History.
2.     Transfers to Your Other Accounts at the Bank.
      You may transfer funds from your Cebu Pacific GetGo Savings Account to your other accounts in the Bank and open a Time Deposit Account.
3.     Transfers to Third Parties within the Bank.
      You may transfer funds from your Cebu Pacific GetGo Savings Account to third parties ("Recipients or Beneficiaries") who have deposit accounts with the Bank. You will be responsible for informing the Recipient regarding this transfer. Such transactions are irrevocable once effected.
4.     Transfers to Third Parties outside the Bank.
      You may transfer funds from your Cebu Pacific GetGo Savings Account to third parties who have accounts at other Philippine Banks. You will be responsible for informing the Recipient regarding this matter. Such transactions are irrevocable once effected.
5.     Bills Payment
      You may pay your bills from your Cebu Pacific GetGo Savings  Account to institutions which the Bank has collection agreements.
6.     New Services or Changes
      We may from time to time, introduce new or change the services offered in our unionbankph.com Website.
      
      
GENERAL PROVISIONS
Terms Relating to Goods and Services Purchased using Electronic Transfers.
1.     No Liability. The Bank will not be responsible in any way for any goods or services you decide to purchase, including without limitation, their quality, safety, legality or delivery. The Bank will not become involved in any dispute involving such goods or services. You also agree to release the Bank and its respective directors, officers, employees and agents from any and all claims, demands and damages between persons using the Financial Services of unionbankph.com, including any claims, demands or damages arising out of or related to the purchase or sale of goods or services.
2.     Rejected Funding Transactions. Payments are made solely out of funds on deposit with the Bank. If you are the recipient of a transfer from another Bank customer, and the sender reverses or charges back a transaction used to fund your transfer, the Bank immediately and without notice or presentment may debit your account for the amount of the transfer, regardless of whether your account has a sufficient balance to fund the transaction. You are responsible for any charges incurred created because of the reversal. You may incur interest, fees and charges if there are insufficient funds in your Cebu Pacific GetGo Savings  Account to cover such amount.
Taxes. You are responsible for paying any and whatever taxes due or may be imposed upon arising from availment of the services and products embodied by the UnionBank Cebu Pacific GetGo Savings  Account. You authorize UBP to automatically charge or debit your account for any and all such taxes due.
Service Charges. You agree to pay the charges as shown on the Schedule of Rates and Fees. As these charges are incurred or, at our option, when we send you an e-mail notification that you should review your account information, we will deduct the charges directly from the Cebu Pacific GetGo Savings  Account balance. We will not be liable for dishonor of your Items or other debits resulting from our deduction of any charges as authorized by your acceptance of these terms.
Errors and Questions. Notify us in case of errors and questions about your statement. You can do any of the following:
1.     Send an email to internet@unionbankph.com or our Call Center at customer.service@unionbankph.com.
2.     Call our Call Center Hotline at 8418600 (Metro Manila), 254-7524 (Metro Cebu), 222-2500 (Metro Davao). Or call our domestic toll free number, 1-800-1888-2277. Our universal toll free number is +800-8277-2273. They are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
3.     Write to Customer Service Dept., UnionBank, 9th floor Peak Tower Alfaro Street, Makati City. Attn: Internet Services.
We must hear from you not later than sixty (60) days after you made a transaction on which the problem or error appeared. If you notify us verbally, we may require that you send us your complaint or question in writing within 24 hours.
When you tell us about the problem, please:
1.     Tell us your name, your Cebu Pacific GetGo Savings Account or card number and/or access ID.
2.     Describe the error or transaction and explain why you believe it is an error.
3.     For a bill payment, tell us the account number used to pay the bill, date the payment was sent, payment amount, and confirmation number for the payment in question.
We will tell you the results of our investigation. We will correct any error if it is directly attributable to act of negligence or deliberate act on our part, otherwise UBP cannot undertake to correct the error even if it is remediable. For bills payment, we will coordinate with the appropriate institution

ELIGIBILITY

Only Cebu Pacific GetGo Debit Cardholders and GetGo-Earning Visa ePaycard and GSIS Visa E-Cardholders can earn GetGo points.

  6. GetGo Points earned shall not expire for as long as the account remains current and active.
  7. UnionBank reserves the right to forfeit GetGo Points if determined that the cardholder has abused or violated the provisions stated in this terms & conditions.
  8. UnionBank may at any time, amend the terms and conditions stated herein.

 

 

 

REDEMPTION

  1. All Points earned on the Account Holder’s account will automatically be credited to the Cardholder’s GetGo account at the beginning of each succeeding month.
  2. As all points will be credited to the Account Holder’s GetGo account, GetGo Points cannot be used to redeem any other Reward items.

GENERAL POLICIES

  1. A dispute on the number of GetGo Points reflected on the advice from GetGo to the Account Holder must be reported within 30 days upon receipt. Otherwise, the same is considered true and correct.
  2. UnionBank reserves the right, without need of any prior notice, to terminate the Rewards Program or list/de-list any reward item in the event that they become unavailable.
  3. UnionBank reserves the right to discontinue or terminate any existing arrangement with program / merchant partners for the redemption of points, without need of prior notice.
